Racism - a sad past. Right after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued and the Union armies marched across the South to free black men, women and children; few know that that even after the war was offically over there still were over 250,000 slaves in Texas. The news couldnt spread fast enough from the pan-handle to the Galveston coast, finally reaching the final slaves of America. The mistreatment would leave not only leave scars on the men who endured the evils of Slave Masters, but would leave Texas as the last stand of Slavery in America. Now one wonders what racism is today. Is it hurtful words? Is it our past? The answers yes, but the most despicable form of racism is alive and well in the heart of Texas - The Hate Group. The Side Clothing has a tee commerating the ugly truth of the past, reminding us of the present. It's a mock Newspaper with the headline "Southern Negros Free". Filled with news of the eras that have followed since the Emancipation Proclamation and reminds one of the duty of the educated mind.
Here in Texas there are still to this day 43 active Hate Groups. As many as 3 in Dallas, 3 in Forth Worth and 1 in Richardson, this strikes close to home. (Chart Below) We remind you you cant have an eye on the future without one on the past. Visit The Side Clothing for information on the Newpaper Shirt below. Link - Tha Side Clothing
